My Specialties
My primary clinical specialties are in the fields of sex therapy and relationship therapy. Clients contact me when they have experienced an interruption in their sexual health, intimacy, or pleasure. We work on a variety of concerns including sexual desire, arousal, orgasm, and pain. Periods of stress and transition often impact sexual health and fulfillment, such as infertility, pregnancy/postpartum, pregnancy loss, menopause, affairs, medications or medical issues, and relationship conflict. Sex therapy supports individuals and couples to identify and communicate concerns, desires, and boundaries, and to work toward increased pleasure and connection. I work with people from all sexuality and gender identities and with various relationship structures.

I provide relationship therapy for couples experiencing conflict, emotional distance, parenting struggles, or challenges in their communication. People often reach out after a boundary has been broken in their relationship or trust has begun to erode. I work from an emotions-focused, experiential framework to understand the injuries, hear one another, and build toward repair and emotional connection.

I also provide supervision and consultation with professionals working toward advanced training in sex therapy or state licensure. I enjoy my teaching position at OHSU which allows me to work with psychiatry residents to expand their comfort communicating with patients about sexual health and functioning. Sexuality is an important part of health and well-being, and I am honored to provide care toward this part of someone's human experience.
