1.
Individual
Therapy
I work with adults in individual therapy to address a wide range of concerns. I specialize in working with sexual health and intimacy issues, as well as associated health concerns and times of transition. These include infertility, pregnancy/postpartum, pregnancy loss, and menopause. I commonly work with people on sexuality and gender identity exploration and expression. Many of my clients experience significant anxiety, which has been negatively impacting their sexual health and relationships.
My clinical approach is grounded in Emotion Focused Therapy. I integrate this with tools from additional theories, such as Narrative Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method. The result is an individualized approach created to respond to the individual's specific needs.
Therapy can be a challenging and vulnerable experience, and it also has the potential for significant growth. I collaborate with my clients to identify areas of distress and work together toward healing.

Couples
Therapy
Relationships evolve with time, and often need support and repair. Couples therapy is an opportunity to dedicate time and effort to a restorative process. Each person is encouraged to identify and express their needs, while also holding space for the needs of their partner. We consider the co-created dynamics that result from each person's emotions and actions. We work toward repairing negative cycles and increasing emotional and physical intimacy and connection.
The couples I see often come to address intimacy concerns, emotional injuries, affair behavior, parenting, communication, and conflict. They come from a variety of gender and sexuality identities and relationship structures, including monogamous and ethically non-monogamous relationships.
3.
Sex
Therapy
I am a passionate advocate for people to explore and improve their sexual health and pleasure. We are subject to the influences of negative messages, myths, and inaccurate sex education. Individual and couples sex therapy provides a confidential, science-based environment in which to discuss sexual concerns.
What is sex therapy? It is very similar to traditional talk therapy, with a specific focus on discussing the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions related to sexuality and pleasure. While the practice of sex therapy is a specialty area of psychotherapy, it encompasses a broad range of concerns. These commonly include sexual desire, arousal, orgasm, and pain. People also explore cultural or familial messages about sex and pleasure. Aging, illness, injury, affairs, trauma, infertility, pregnancy/postpartum, or other transitions can have a negative impact on sexual health and pleasure. Sex therapy provides the opportunity to restore sexual pleasure and connection.
4.
Supervision & Consultation
I provide individual and group supervision for therapists interested in expanding their skills in sex and relationship therapy. I work with seasoned clinicians looking to add a new specialty to their practice, or those who want short-term case consultations. I also provide supervision toward state licensure in Oregon and Washington, particularly for those who want to work in the field of sex and relationship therapy.
As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapy Supervisor, I work with clinicians who are completing the requirements to apply for certification as a Sex Therapist, Sex Counselor, or Sex Therapy Supervisor. I have monthly group supervision meetings, as well as individual supervision sessions scheduled at a time and frequency that meet the pace and needs of the clinicians with whom I work. I look forward to talking with you to see if I am a good fit.
